OUR TREATMENTS

Implant Treatment

Dental implants are artificial tooth roots placed in the jawbone to restore the function and aesthetics of missing teeth. Implants are widely biocompatible and extremely durable. Their appearance and use are very comfortable; they are barely noticeable in the mouth.

The advantages of implant treatment include: patients who have lost a single tooth do not have to sacrifice adjacent teeth for single tooth restoration, and more aesthetic and functional results are achieved. Patients who have lost some teeth in the upper or lower jaw often have to have healthy teeth cut down to create a bridge. Patients who have completely lost teeth in the upper or lower jaw and experience discomfort due to denture movement, or difficulty chewing, or those using upper jaw dentures who experience reduced taste sensation due to the denture covering their palate, will find that implant treatment eliminates the problems of creating dentures that closely resemble natural teeth.

Smile Design

Smile design refers to dental procedures aimed at improving the aesthetic appearance of our smiles, which are a crucial part of our body language. Generally, the priority in these treatments is restoring oral and dental health.

Smile design aims to create a smile that is visually appealing and makes the individual feel most comfortable. Teeth and gums, being the most prominent features of a smile, are frequently treated areas. Problems such as excessive gum visibility, crooked teeth, broken teeth, and discoloration can not only conceal a person’s smile but also damage their self-confidence.

Considering today’s aesthetic sensibilities, teeth are preferred to be strikingly white, with prominent upper central teeth, and approximately 1mm longer than surrounding teeth. Smile design treatments vary from person to person, depending on their unique oral, dental, and facial features. You too can achieve an aesthetically pleasing smile through dental procedures best suited to your facial structure.

Gum Treatment (Periodontology)

In the early stages of periodontal disease, in most cases, scaling, plaque removal, and ensuring a smooth root surface, followed by effective daily oral hygiene, are sufficient for successful treatment. This treatment allows the gum to re-adapt to the tooth and shrinks the gum tissue, eliminating the periodontal pocket. More advanced periodontal disease may require surgical treatment. This treatment aims to clean the tartar from the deep periodontal pockets surrounding the teeth, eliminate the periodontal pockets, ensure a smooth root surface, and provide the patient with a more easily cleanable gum tissue.

Orthodontics (Braces Treatment)

Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of oral and facial anomalies and irregularities originating from the teeth and surrounding tissues. Braces treatment, also known as orthodontic treatment, is performed by orthodontists and involves bringing the teeth and jaw into three-dimensional alignment. Orthodontic treatment can provide a beautiful smile, improved oral health, and a higher quality of life for people of all ages.

Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment)

Inside the root of a tooth is a bundle of blood vessels and nerves that nourishes the tooth, commonly known as the “nerve of the tooth.”

If this tissue is damaged and/or inflamed due to untreated cavities, root canal treatment is the process of removing the damaged tissue, shaping and cleaning the root canal, and then filling it with filling materials. In some cases, laser-assisted treatments can be used to improve the success of root canal treatment.

Pedodontics (Children's Dental Treatment)

Baby teeth usually begin to erupt when a baby is six months old. The eruption of baby teeth is usually complete by around the age of 3. At this stage, there are 20 baby teeth in the mouth. Due to their structural differences, baby teeth are more susceptible to wear and decay.

By the age of 6, baby teeth begin to be replaced by permanent teeth. This process continues until approximately the age of 13. The period between 6 and 13 years of age, when both baby and permanent teeth are present in the mouth, is called the mixed dentition period. During this period, existing cavities in baby teeth negatively affect the health of newly erupting permanent teeth. Our main mission in the Department of Pedodontics is to protect the oral and dental health of child patients from birth to adolescence, to prevent various problems that may arise, and to ensure that existing diseases and anomalies are detected early and treated before they progress.
